MUHAMMAD MOHSAN FROM HOUNSLOW SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN TWICKENHAM AND LONDON BUSES
In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community, Muhammad Mohsan, an 18-year-old resident of Ash Grove in Hounslow, was sentenced to 16 months in prison on Tuesday, June 6. The conviction follows his guilty plea to nine counts of sexual assault committed against five women ranging in age from 15 to 55, all of whom were traveling on various London buses across the boroughs of Brent, Westminster, Richmond, and Hammersmith & Fulham. The incident that brought Mohsan to justice occurred on March 7 in Twickenham. A 15-year-old girl, dressed in her school uniform, was getting off the 110 bus when she was approached by Mohsan. According to reports, he initially attempted to engage her in conversation, making efforts to distract her and trying to persuade her to stay on the bus. Despite her efforts to leave, Mohsan persisted, trying to get her off the vehicle twice before her stop arrived.
Once she disembarked, Mohsan followed her, and the situation escalated behind a nearby bush, where he sexually assaulted her. The young girl’s mother, who lives in Twickenham, expressed her shock and outrage over the incident. She praised her daughter’s bravery in coming forward, stating, “She wanted me to come forward and speak out on her behalf to make sure that girls are aware of predators like him. My daughter has been so brave and been through hell but she just wants others to know they can come forward too.”
The mother recounted that her daughter was visibly shaken after the attack. She confided in a family member about what had happened, prompting her parents to immediately contact the police. Law enforcement officials responded swiftly, with forensic teams and helicopters arriving at the scene that very evening to investigate the assault.
As a result of the attack, the girl has been deeply affected. Her mother revealed that she now refuses to wear her school uniform and that her parents are personally escorting her to and from school to ensure her safety. The trauma has also caused her to suffer from nightmares, significantly disrupting her daily life. Despite these challenges, she is determined to focus on her GCSE exams and move forward.
Mohsan’s criminal activities were not limited to this single incident. His crimes spanned multiple locations across London, where he targeted women on public transportation. His actions led to a total of nine sexual assault charges involving five different victims, aged between 15 and 55. The assaults took place on buses traveling through the boroughs of Brent, Westminster, Richmond, and Hammersmith & Fulham.
The court proceedings took place at Isleworth Crown Court, where Mohsan was sentenced to serve 16 months in prison for his crimes. His conviction underscores the importance of vigilance and the courage of victims who come forward to report such heinous acts, helping to bring offenders like Mohsan to justice and ensuring safer communities for all.
