EVIL EDINBURGH HUSBAND WHO STABBED WIFE BEFORE CHILD CALLED 999 HANDED SENTENCE
A man from Edinburgh has received a life sentence after he stabbed his wife at their residence.Momodou Bobb, aged 56, carried out the attack on Ndata Bobb in the early hours of August 28 last year.
He inflicted more than 22 stab wounds using two knives.
A child present in the home called emergency services.
Police arrived at the scene on Restalrig Avenue around 1 in the morning.
Ndata was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where she was declared dead roughly two hours later.
On May 19, Bobb appeared in the Edinburgh High Court and was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 16 years and eight months to be served.
Moira Orr, the head of homicide for the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, stated: "Momodou Bobb murdered Ndata Bobb in her own home—a place where she deserved to feel safe.
Her loss has deeply impacted her family, causing immense grief and trauma.
While Bobb has admitted his guilt and been held responsible, our thoughts remain with Ndata’s loved ones.
This case serves as a stark reminder of the violence directed at women and girls.
Prosecutors across Scotland will continue to utilize all available measures to pursue those responsible and protect communities from harm." Detective Inspector Kevin Tait added: "Our sympathies go out to Ndata’s family and friends during this very difficult time.
This was a tragic and senseless act that ended the life of a beloved woman and dedicated mother.
We are dedicated to ensuring justice is served for such violent crimes." Ndata Bobb's death followed a disturbance at a property in the city.
