DEWSBURY MAN CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE COUNTS OF CHILD SEX OFFENCES AFTER DECADES-LONG INVESTIGATION
Forty-two individuals, including Mohammed Tariq aged 62 from Bradford, have been charged following an extensive police inquiry into historical child sexual exploitation (CSE) in West Yorkshire.
These charges relate to offences alleged to have been committed against six girls between 1995 and 2015, predominantly at addresses in Dewsbury and Batley.
The charges encompass various serious sexual offences.
Mohammed Tariq is specifically accused of two offences of rape.
All those charged are scheduled to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court on the upcoming Tuesday.
The police have detailed that the accused come from diverse backgrounds, with most being from Kirklees, and include both men and women, with some facing multiple charges of rape, indecent assault, and related offences in connection with their actions over two decades ago.
