A man was sentenced to 14 years in prison after being convicted of raping two schoolgirls in his car after they had consumed alcohol.
Mohammed Rahman, residing in West Vallum, Newcastle, was found guilty of three counts of rape during a court trial.
The Newcastle Crown Court was told that Rahman initially approached the girls outside a corner shop, bought them alcohol, and started a conversation.
He continued to interact with them despite being told their ages.
On a later occasion, he picked up the girls in his vehicle and drove them to a deserted parking area, where he assaulted one girl despite her protests.
About a month afterward, he stopped to give a lift to a second girl who was walking home drunk.
Instead of taking her home, Rahman drove her to a remote place where he raped her twice.
