Milan Surendra faced magistrates at Croydon Magistrates Court on 25 April 2025.It was his first appearance before the court as he stands accused of failing to comply with sex offender registry rules.
The charges include not notifying authorities as required under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
He also faces allegations related to breaching a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) and an interim SHPO.
These orders are in place to restrict his activities and contact with certain individuals.
The case was listed under reference 01ZT1049625.
Surendra did not enter pleas during this initial hearing and was remanded in custody until a future date.
Magistrates decided to keep him in detention to prepare for the next steps in his case.
The court’s decision follows an investigation into alleged non-compliance with legal notification requirements for sex offenders.
Such breaches are taken seriously in the UK legal system, with additional restrictions or penalties possible if found guilty.
The case will continue with further hearings scheduled to establish the facts and determine the appropriate legal action.
