PERTH STALKER TO BE SENTENCED FOR DECADE-LONG OFFENCES
A Perth stalker, Michael Watson, will be sentenced this month for a string of offences dating back more than a decade. He pled guilty to three domestically aggravated crimes at an earlier hearing and had expected to find out his fate this week.
The 33-year-old, of Bute Drive, admitted on multiple occasions between October 2010 and October 2011, shouting and swearing at his then-partner “in a manner likely to cause fear or alarm.” He also admitted stalking another former partner between April and December in 2014.
At addresses in Perth, he swore and acted in an aggressive manner towards the woman and repeatedly called her mobile phone while she was at work.
The abusive remarks made over the phone were heard by the woman’s mother.
Watson's sentencing was postponed until February 15 due to his defence counsel being unavailable.
