MICHAEL LAIRD CAUGHT WITH CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IN DENNY
In June 2017, authorities uncovered disturbing evidence of child exploitation involving Michael Laird, a 27-year-old resident of Denny.Between May 25 and June 6 of the previous year, Laird was found to be in possession of a total of 32 indecent images classified as 'category C' depicting children in explicit and illegal contexts.
These images were discovered at his residence on Kelly Drive, raising serious concerns about his involvement in the distribution or possession of child abuse material.
Following the investigation, Sheriff John Mundy presided over the case and issued a ruling that reflected the severity of the offense.
Laird was sentenced to an 18-month supervised community payback order, a form of community service designed to rehabilitate offenders while ensuring public safety.
As part of the conditions attached to this order, Laird was mandated to attend psychiatric or psychological treatment sessions as directed by authorities, emphasizing the importance of addressing underlying issues that may have contributed to his criminal behavior.
