MONSTER IN SCHOOL UNIFORM SENTENCED - RED ROSE EXCLUSIVE.
A Cumbrian youth identified as Michael Johnson has been convicted of a series of serious sexual offences involving girls aged between 13 and 15, according to documents issued by the Criminal Justice System’s Witness Care Unit.Johnson’s trial took place on 29 February 2024, where he was found guilty of: • Rape of a girl aged 13–15 (Sexual Offences Act 2003) • Assault of a female aged 13 and over by penetration with part of the body or an object • Sexual assault on a female Following the guilty verdicts, Johnson was remanded on conditional bail while the court prepared reports ahead of sentencing.
The case was later adjourned to 2 May 2024 at Barrow-in-Furness Magistrates’ Court.
Sentencing was formally passed at Preston Crown Court on 9 September 2024.
The youth received the following orders: • Youth Rehabilitation Order for 2 years and 6 months • Supervision requirement managed by the Youth Offending Team • 25-day programme requirement • Electronically monitored curfew from 8 p.m.
to 7 a.m.
for 6 months • Restraining Order imposed for 5 years • Placement on the Sex Offenders Register for 2 years and 6 months
