WINCHESTER SEX OFFENDER RECEIVES FIVE-YEAR SENTENCE FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT IN BOURNEMOUTH
Michael John Parcell, a 63-year-old known as the Winchester Sex Offender, pleaded guilty to five charges of sexual assault on a male at Bournemouth Crown Court.
The offences occurred in the early hours of Monday, 21 August 2023, at a hotel on Somerford Road in Christchurch.
Parcell had accompanied the victim, a teenage boy, to the region, and they were lodging overnight at the motel.
During the night, Michael John Parcell woke the victim and proceeded to sexually assault him.
The victim showed courage by fleeing the hotel and contacting police.
Officers responded quickly, located Parcell nearby, and took him into custody.
The defendant’s mobile phone was seized, and subsequent analysis revealed photographs and recordings of the sexual assaults.
On Friday, September 5, 2025, Parcell received a five-year prison sentence from the same court.
