BOURNEMOUTH MAN JAILED FOR SENDING SEXUAL MESSAGES TO DECOY
A man named Michael Gregson, aged 39 and residing on Roosevelt Crescent in Bournemouth, was involved in sending sexual messages to a girl, who was actually a decoy.The court heard that between January 4 and January 9, 2024, Gregson sent communications discussing sexual activity and asked the girl to send indecent images of herself.
Gregson appeared at Poole Magistrates Court for sentencing on April 7, having admitted to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
He was sentenced to a community order lasting two years, required to complete 26 days of a program and 20 days of rehabilitation activities.
Additionally, he was fined £200, ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs, and a victim surcharge of £114.
Gregson will be on the sex offender register for five years.
