MAURICE EDWARDS AND JOHN EDWARDS FROM HARTLEPOOL AND STOCKTON SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX ABUSE
In a disturbing case that has shocked the communities of Hartlepool and Stockton, two brothers, Maurice Edwards and John Edwards, have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms after being found guilty of heinous sexual offenses involving a young child.The crimes, which spanned over a period of time during the victims' childhood, involved repeated acts of sexual abuse and assault that have left a lasting impact on the victim.
According to court records, Maurice Edwards, aged 74 and residing on Tithe Barn Road in Stockton, was sentenced to a total of 27 years and six months in prison.

Meanwhile, John Edwards, aged 64 and living on May Street in Hartlepool, received a sentence of 18 years in prison, along with an additional one-year extended license period.
He was convicted of two counts of rape and two counts of indecency with a child.
