CIRCUS TRAINER MARY CHIPPERFIELD EXPOSED IN UNDERCOVER ANIMAL CRUELTY FILMING
Animal cruelty investigations have revealed that Mary Chipperfield, a top trainer and member of the renowned Chipperfield circus family, engaged in extensive acts of abuse towards circus animals.Undercover footage captured her furiously kicking and whipping a camel with a leather belt as it refused to move, shouting, "Get up, get up, you bloody stupid animal." The investigation, conducted over 18 months by Animal Defenders, documented scenes of violence including Richard "Dickie" Chipperfield throwing stones at a lion and lashing a tiger's face with a metal pole, as well as elephants being beaten and kept in tiny containers for most of their lives.
The footage also showed Mary chasing and mistreating a baby chimp, pushing it into a small box and mocking its cries.
Animal Gills, an elephant keeper, was caught on film discussing the best ways to beat animals, and was seen chasing an elephant, Lester, and hitting it ferociously.
The report alleges that such brutality was commonplace within the circuses, with animals being whipped, punched, and beaten daily.
The campaign calls for a ban on using animals in circuses nationwide.
The footage, which will be handed to police, exposes the cruel reality behind the glamorous spectacle.
Both Mary Chipperfield and her animal trainer son are currently unavailable for comment, but may face investigations, fines, or jail if proven guilty.
The RSPCA has expressed their opposition to circuses featuring animals and awaits further evidence.
The case has drawn condemnation from MPs and celebrities like Elton John and Sir John Gielgud, who condemned the barbaric practices and called for legislative change.
