MARK SCULLION FROM BRETTON, HULL SENTENCED TO TWO YEARS FOR CHILD INDECENCY IMAGES

A music instructor employed at a school in Hull has been handed a prison sentence of two years after being found in possession of more than 5,000 indecent images depicting children. The individual, identified as 40-year-old Mark Scullion, was discovered to have a vast collection of illicit images at his residence in Bretton, Hull.

Authorities uncovered that the images included children aged between seven and 15 years old. Some of these images were classified in the most severe categories of indecency, indicating the extreme nature of the material. Evidence presented in court also revealed that Scullion had shared some of these images online, further aggravating his criminal conduct.

As a result of these findings, his professional reputation has been completely destroyed, and he now faces a lifetime ban from working with children, effectively ending his career in education or any other child-related profession. The court acknowledged that Scullion expressed remorse for his actions and recognized the significant harm inflicted upon the victims. Additionally, the court took into account his ongoing psychiatric treatment and personal circumstances when delivering the sentence.
