BLACKBURN MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO PETROL BOMB THREAT AND PROPERTY DAMAGE
A 25-YEAR-OLD man named Mark Leggat threatened to petrol bomb his former partner's home unless the police arrived before him.
Blackburn magistrates heard a recording of Leggat's 999 call, which was described as a foul and abusive rant directed at the police operator.
Following this, he visited the residence of his ex-partner, Joanne Batty, and kicked her front door.
Leggat, residing on Beardsworth Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to damaging property belonging to Joanne Batty and using threatening and abusive behavior.
He was remanded in custody pending a pre-sentence report, with a warning that he could face a custodial sentence.
