JEALOUS DAD FOUND GUILTY OF THREATENING EX AFTER COURT ORDER BREACH
A young dad named Marcus Folan, aged 34, has been found guilty of breaching a court order and making threats against his ex-partner.
Folan stormed into her Crosland Moor home and called her 'a slag' before threatening to kill her, saying 'You slag I'm going to kill you!' during an incident where he tried to kick her front door in.
He had previously denied breaching a non-molestation order, but after a trial at Kirklees Magistrates' Court, he was convicted.
Folan failed to appear for the hearing, which led to a warrant for his arrest, and he was arrested soon after the incident.
The court is considering issuing an indefinite restraining order to replace the existing court order which is about to expire.
The victim, with whom Folan has children, described how he had previously appeared in her garden twice in August last year and again in January this year, shouting threats about killing her after discovering another man at her home.
She recounted that on August 12 she was in her garden with her children when she saw Folan's stepfather, and just five days later, Folan appeared again, shouted 'I love you girls' from the garden, and then tried to enter her house.
Folan is from Haigh Street in Lockwood.
The case highlights his ongoing harassment and breach of court orders, with a new hearing scheduled for an indefinite restraining order in future proceedings.
