PRIVATELY-EDUCATED PLAYGIRL SON OF MILLIONAIRE JAILED FOR DOMESTIC ATTACK
A privately-educated man, Marco Nardone, was involved in a domestic assault incident at his luxury flat, where he attacked his girlfriend Toni Allcock by dragging her by the hair and kicking her in the stomach.The incident also involved previous aggressive behavior, including slapping and grabbing her throat, which was witnessed by neighbors and previously reported.
The court was told that the assault was "vicious, spiteful and sustained and very shocking".
Nardone faced charges of assault by beating, which he admitted.
He was sentenced to eight weeks jail, suspended for 18 months, and was ordered to attend a "building better relations" rehabilitation program and complete 20 days of activity.
Magistrate Amanda Barron emphasized the seriousness of the offence, noting that it was very concerning for the victim's safety.
The court expressed concerns about Nardone's pattern of behavior and the potential risk he posed.
Nardone's background includes education at Charterhouse School, studying physics at Imperial College London, a brief career at Credit Suisse, and launching a failed app called Fling.
He is the son of millionaire wine importer Remo Nardone.
Despite the violence, Nardone's already privileged background and affluent lifestyle were highlighted in the case.
The court highlighted the frightening nature of his actions and stressed the need for rehabilitation to prevent further harm.
