MARCELE EVANS FROM WOLVERHAMPTON SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES AGAINST YOUNG GIRL IN SHREWSBURY

In a case that has sent shockwaves through the Wolverhampton community, Marcel Evans, a man residing on Burland Avenue, has been officially sentenced for heinous sexual offenses committed against a young girl. The crimes, which spanned several years, involved multiple counts of indecent assault and an act of indecency with a minor. The proceedings took place at Shrewsbury Crown Court, where Evans was found guilty of three separate counts of indecent assault and one count of indecency with a child. These offenses were committed by the 53-year-old man during the period from 1988 to 1993, according to the police report from West Mercia Police.

Following the trial, Evans was handed a substantial prison sentence of eight years at Stafford Crown Court on a Friday. In addition to his time behind bars, he will be subject to a one-year period of licence, meaning he will be monitored and supervised after his release to ensure compliance with the law and to protect the public from any potential risk he might pose.
