Michael Bisby, a man with a history of offenses, was taken into custody after an investigation revealed hundreds of vile photographs of young school-aged children stored in his home.
Described as 'isolated', Bisby led police to a hidden repository of unlawful images located under his bed, amid concerns that he had been actively searching online for pictures of young girls.
This was his second conviction related to indecent images of children; the 52-year-old also crafted homemade sex toys.
Bisby, known as a 'deliberately rebellious' repeat offender, was first caught over ten years ago for viewing abusive child photographs online and was released from court after serving time.
Nevertheless, a judge ruled that he was beyond help due to his attraction to girls aged eight to 14 and sentenced him to prison for these serious crimes.
Back in July 2010, he was sentenced to a three-year community order after authorities traced him to a website containing child abuse images.
When his computer was examined, over 2,000 images were uncovered, as detailed by Wolverhampton Crown Court.
