AYR MAN GETS SIX MONTHS BEHIND BARS FOR ATTACK ON EX-PARTNER

AN AYR man has been jailed for six months for an attack on his ex-partner.

Malcolm Scott, of Davidson Place, struck his victim on the head and body before kicking her in a violent assault at a property in Kings Street in Ayr.

He then fought with police officers who tried to restrain him.

The thug also attempted to spit at them.

Defending the 26-yearold, solicitor Tony Currie said: “His recollection is blighted by a state he got himself in.

He is ashamed of his behaviour.” Sheriff John Montgomery told Scott: “I’m sentencing you to six months in prison” which was discounted from eight.
