ABUSIVE PARTNER RECEIVES INCREASED PRISON SENTENCE
A man from London who was abusive in his relationships with two women has had his prison sentence increased following a referral from the Solicitor General, Alex Chalk, QC MP, to the Court of Appeal.Luke Lyndsay, aged 25, engaged in abusive behavior toward two different partners in separate relationships.
In his first relationship, Lyndsay was violent, choking his partner and stabbing her in the hand.
His conduct also included controlling and coercive tactics, such as overly aggressive behavior, dictating her clothing choices, and limiting her access to social media.
During his second relationship, Lyndsay intentionally damaged his partner’s belongings and repeatedly threatened her with violence.
He also assaulted her on several occasions, throwing dinner plates at her, which resulted in a permanent scar.
Additionally, he secretly recorded an explicit video of her without consent and later shared it on social media.
On 28 February 2022, Lyndsay received a sentence of 3 years and 6 months in prison at Isleworth Crown Court for offences related to both relationships.
Furthermore, a lifetime restraining order was imposed, prohibiting him from approaching both victims.
