TIPTON PAEDOPHILE CONVICTED AFTER SURRENDERING HIMSELF TO POLICE
Luke Hall, aged 32, from Burnt Tree, Tipton, was sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court after pleading guilty to creating indecent images of children between February 2021 and June 2022.He targeted children online, pretending to be a teenager, even uploading an image of a child as his profile picture, and engaging in conversations about sex while requesting sexual photographs.
The police, specifically West Midlands Police's sexual exploitation team, were alerted to Hall's activities.
They raided his residence and discovered multiple electronic devices.
Due to the complexities involved in verifying the age of the children Hall communicated with, he was not charged with communicating with a minor in a sexual context.
While out on bail and awaiting sentencing, Hall continued to search for child pornography online.
Following a 'cry of conscience,' he voluntarily surrendered himself to the police station in November of the previous year.
He has avoided jail time and was instead given a sentence that includes other legal repercussions.
