MAN SENTENCED FOR RAPE
Luke Castle, aged 37 and residing on West Wycombe Road, received a sentence of 17 years in prison during a court hearing held at Aylesbury Crown Court on 7 November.The judge also imposed an extended licence period of six years following his release.
Castle was convicted on 8 August of two counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault, following a trial at the same court.
The charges stemmed from incidents that occurred earlier.
The allegations involved an incident on the evening of Monday, 16 December of the previous year, when a woman was raped in The Rye area, near Bassetsbury Lane.
Castle was detained by police on the same day as the incident warning and was formally charged two days later, on 18 December.
