BIRMINGHAM MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING ONLINE SAFEGUARDING OPERATION
A Birmingham man has been arrested after an online safeguarding operation uncovered concerning behaviour directed toward a child.Luke Adams, who is said to have used the online name “JD”, was arrested on 7 December 2025 in connection with alleged online communications with what he believed to be a 14-year-old child.
Those involved in the operation state that the conversations became inappropriate in nature and raised serious safeguarding concerns.
It is alleged that Adams attempted to engage in sexualised communication and encouraged behaviour that would be considered harmful to a child.
The operation was conducted using controlled safeguarding methods designed to ensure that no real child was involved or placed at risk.
Evidence gathered during the investigation was passed to police, leading to Adams’ arrest.
Safeguarding groups involved say the case highlights the importance of awareness around online safety and the need for vigilance when it comes to protecting children in digital spaces.
At this stage, the matter remains under investigation.
The offences were - • online grooming • causing a child to watch a sexual act • sexual communications with a child • attempting to possess an indecent image from a child • inciting a child into sexual activity
