DEVON'S PROLIFIC VOYEUR LUKASZ GRZYWNA SENTENCED TO PRISON IN CREDITON

Lukasz Grzywna, a 30-year-old from Crediton, has been sentenced to prison after a series of disturbing and illicit activities involving secretly filming children and women during their sleep. His crimes took place over a 14-month period spanning 2023 and 2024. The offender’s conduct included prowling the streets at night, forcibly entering homes, and recording women and children without their consent, often focusing on their legs, feet, and private areas. On some occasions, Grzywna entered homes as a trespasser and engaged in masturbation while filming himself or the sleeping victims.

The case emerged when a father, hearing footsteps and noises in his daughter's bedroom, confronted Grzywna and told him to leave. Subsequently, the man saw Grzywna climbing out of the window, leading to his arrest by police nearby. An inspection of Grzywna's phone uncovered videos that showed him secretly filming women inside their homes, as well as footage of him sexually assaulting an unconscious woman in her car. Tragically, the woman later died, having expressed fears that she had been drugged.

The victims’ families described their ordeal as "truly a nightmare" and voiced their fears that their child's life could have been taken. The videos found on Grzywna’s device included recordings of women sleeping, some of whom were unaware they had been targeted, along with footage where he filmed a woman masturbating and children sleeping, causing significant distress to their families.

Upon arrest, authorities found an unused condom, tissues, ecstasy tablets, a piece of paper with his Snapchat account, and tobacco on his person. Grzywna falsely claimed to police that he was visiting a friend or that he was a burglar with no sexual intent. Further investigation revealed that he had repeatedly walked past the same house on multiple evenings, entering the room to film himself masturbating in view of his victims. He was also recorded filming through windows of both adults and children on numerous occasions.

The judge described Grzywna as a "cunning, calculated, sexual predator," and sentenced him to nine years and eight months in prison. A portion of this sentence will be served on license, and he is required to register as a sex offender for life.

Detective Constable Becky Carvell highlighted the bravery of the victims’ families and urged anyone aware of similar abuse to report it. She emphasized that support services are available for victims, and assured the public of the police’s ongoing commitment to prosecuting offenders involved in sexual crimes.
