LOGAN ROBINSON FROM NEWPORT CAUGHT WITH CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE IMAGES IN SHOCKING CASE

A resident of Newport, Logan Robinson, has been linked to a disturbing collection of child sexual abuse images, leading to serious criminal charges. Robinson, who lives on Nelson Road in Newport, appeared before the Isle of Wight magistrates on Tuesday, April 22, to face allegations related to the possession and distribution of indecent images of children. During the hearing, he admitted to three counts of possessing indecent images of children, along with additional charges that included distributing such images, possessing prohibited images, and possessing extreme pornography that depicted sexual assault.

Prosecutor Lauren McConnell provided details about the timeline of the offenses, stating that the crimes took place in 2021. The police executed a Section 8 warrant at Robinson’s residence, although he was not initially at the property. He was later located and arrested after getting off a bus in Newport. During police interviews, Robinson reportedly confessed that he was aware his actions were wrong but claimed he 'couldn’t help himself.'

Further investigation into his electronic devices uncovered a significant and disturbing collection of images. Authorities found over 500 Category A images, which are classified as the most severe and explicit type. In total, the devices contained 523 Category A images, along with 661 Category B images, 679 Category C images, and 620 images that were prohibited under law. In addition to possessing these images, Robinson was also caught distributing at least six indecent images through social media platforms, raising further concerns about his activities.

Robinson’s case has been scheduled for further proceedings at the Isle of Wight Crown Court, with a preliminary sentencing starting point of three years’ imprisonment. The hearing has been adjourned until June 10, and Robinson has been granted unconditional bail pending the next court date. Magistrates also ordered a pre-sentence probation report and instructed Robinson to register with police within three days.
