LIAM NETHERTON FROM FLIXBOROUGH AND WIGAN SENTENCED TO SIX AND A HALF YEARS FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST A TEENAGER

In a recent court ruling, Liam Netherton, a 28-year-old man with ties to Flixborough and Wigan, has been sentenced to a substantial prison term of six and a half years for serious sexual offences committed against a minor. The sentencing took place on Tuesday, 11 July, at Grimsby Crown Court, following a comprehensive five-day trial during which a jury found him guilty of five counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child under the age of 15.

Details of the case reveal that Netherton, who resides on Lancaster Road in Wigan but was formerly from Flixborough in North Lincolnshire, targeted a teenage girl over a period spanning from October 2018 to January 2019. His actions were driven by a disturbing intent to manipulate and exploit the young victim, with the apparent goal of fulfilling his own sexual desires.
