JOHNNY GENTLE SENTENCED IN WIGAN FOR VOYEURISM AT LOCAL STORES AND BUS STATION

A 34-year-old man named Johnny Gentle has been handed a 12-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to two separate charges of voyeurism. The incidents, which took place in Wigan, have drawn significant attention from local authorities and the community alike.

On May 14, Gentle was caught engaging in upskirting a woman inside a Tesco supermarket located on Central Park Way in Wigan. The court proceedings revealed that both the victim and an independent witness subsequently identified Gentle during an identity parade, confirming his involvement in the incident. This act of voyeurism was captured on CCTV footage, which played a crucial role in establishing his guilt.

Just three days later, on May 17, Gentle was again caught on camera, this time at Wigan bus station. The footage showed him taking an image beneath a schoolgirl’s skirt, an act that further underscored his predatory behavior. Following his arrest, police reports indicate that Gentle responded to questions during interviews with a simple 'no comment,' refusing to provide any explanation or defense for his actions.

Detective Constable Riyaz Patel, who is part of the Wigan CID, described Gentle as a 'sexual predator who has committed sexual acts against lone vulnerable females.' He expressed gratitude to the victims for their bravery in coming forward and assisting the police in their investigation.
