SEX OFFENDER LIVING IN HIS CAR IS THREATENED WITH JAIL
A SHERIFF has warned Liam Murray that if he fails to attend any more report appointments, he will be jailed.Murray, who was 19 when he had sex with a 14-year-old girl in his car on February 20 last year, was living in his car due to threats and emotional distress from the girl's family.
His offence came to light when the victim disclosed the relationship at school.
The court deferred his sentence to allow for background reports, but these were delayed as Murray missed two meetings with social workers.
He is now 20, living at an address in Berwick-upon-Tweed, with his sentence further deferred until June 12 for a Criminal Justice Social Work Report.
The sheriff warned that failure to attend a third appointment could result in custody.
Murray's name is on the Sex Offenders' Register.
