PARTON MAN ADMITS SHARING INTIMATE PHOTOS OF FEMALE WITHOUT CONSENT
A man has admitted sharing photographs of a female in an intimate state without her consent.
Lewis Walker, 28, pleaded guilty to sharing the photos, intending to cause the female alarm, distress, or humiliation, when he appeared before Workington Magistrates’ Court.
The offence took place on May 2.
Walker, of Seven Acres, Parton, Whitehaven, will be sentenced in the magistrates’ court on October 20.
He was granted bail with conditions not to go to a given address or contact the victim by any means.
Walker caused his victim to feel distressed and embarrassed after posting photos of her on Facebook following a live video during which he said he would expose her.
He was sentenced to 24 weeks in custody, suspended for 12 months, after pleading guilty to sharing photographs of a person in an intimate state with the intent to cause alarm, distress, or humiliation.
