LEICESTERSHIRE CARE WORKER APPEARS IN COURT CHARGED WITH SEXUAL OFFENCES
A Leicestershire care worker has appeared in court charged with sexual offences against a vulnerable person.Lee Williams faces two charges under the Sexual Offences Act.
The 43-year-old, of Beacon Road, Loughborough, appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Monday, January 26.
According to court documents, the charges relate to alleged sexual activity with a vulnerable person.
Williams is described as a mental health care worker.
Magistrates sent the case to Leicester Crown Court for trial and granted him conditional bail.
Williams is due to appear at Leicester Crown Court on Monday, March 16, for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
The case is being prosecuted by CPS East Midlands.
Under the Sexual Offences Amendment Act 1992, alleged victims of sexual offences have lifelong anonymity.
