METHIL MAN FINED AND SUPERVISED FOR ASSAULTING EX-PARTNER
A 35-year-old man from Methil, Lee Dunn, admitted to striking and biting his ex-partner on the head during an assault.At Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court, he was fined £300 and placed under supervision for a year for the incident.
Prosecutor Zahra Bhatti told the court that the pair had been arguing on January 2, and police found signs of a disturbance, including broken tiles and glass.
Dunn was previously convicted of domestic offences and had an incident of assault where he struck and bit his ex-partner on the head.
Sheriff Francis Gill imposed a community payback order for the assault, and additionally fined Dunn £300 for offensive remarks and threats of violence made at Kirkcaldy police station.
The court's decision came after evidence including mobile phone footage showing Dunn checking his partner’s phone, and detailed the argument leading up to the assault.
Dunn's previous criminal record includes convictions for assault and robbery.
