ONLINE HUNTERS EXPOSE FIFE MAN IN UNDERAGE SEX CHAT BUST
A letter from the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service confirms that an undertaking requiring attendance at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court Annex has been formally cancelled in relation to an alleged offence under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009.Authorities state that, based on the current evidence available, no action will be taken at this time.
However, the case remains under review, meaning prosecutors retain the right to revisit and potentially proceed with charges at a later date if further information comes to light.
—————————————————————————————————— Darren Lyle from Methil, Leven, was taken into custody on July 17, 2025, as a result of an online child protection operation conducted by a civilian organization claiming to combat online predators.
This operation was organized by “Scotland’s Child Protection Team Against Sexual Abuse” and was supported by a volunteer group known as “The Underworld.” Publicly available information from the participating groups indicates that Lyle allegedly engaged in sexually explicit exchanges with someone he believed to be a 14-year-old.
It is further claimed that he asked for inappropriate images during the interaction.
