RAPIST KYLE HAZELEY JAILED FOR VIOLENT ATTACK AND BURNING WOMAN IN WARRINGTON
A man named Kyle Hazeley was convicted and sentenced for a series of severe crimes against a woman in Warrington. The court heard that Hazeley, 34, initially argued with the victim at her residence and refused to leave.
He repeatedly asked her for sex despite her clear refusal, grabbing her by the hair, removing her jeans and underwear, and forcing her head onto the cooker, preventing her from escaping.
During the assault, she was crying and repeatedly told him to stop, but he continued to laugh wickedly and carry on.
The court described his behavior as appalling, cruel, and prolonged, including causing physical injuries such as scratches and bruising by pushing her into kitchen units and kicking her.
In a further act of violence, Hazeley threatened to 'teach her a lesson', smashed her head against kitchen units, and then threw scalding tea over her after boiling the kettle.
The burns caused her to seek hospital treatment, where a burn of 2 by 3 inches was treated, and she was referred for plastic surgery.
The victim reported feeling fearful, anxious, with trouble sleeping, and experiencing flashbacks.
Hazeley had nine prior convictions for 13 offenses, with his most recent for battery in 2009.
The court condemned his conduct as violent, degrading, and a prolonged course of serious sexual violence.
Hazeley faced a sentence of 7.5 years in prison, with a requirement to serve two-thirds before release on license, sign the sex offender register for life, and adhere to an indefinite restraining order.
His mental health was considered, but the judge emphasized that it did not excuse his behavior.
