HUCKNALL MAN JAILED FOR CHILD INDECENCY IMAGES

A pervert has been sentenced for downloading indecent images of children as young as three years old.

Kieron Lorimer had images of children in Category A - the most serious level - to Category C - the least serious - across three devices during the pandemic.

Officers seized two phones and a laptop.

They found the images and some videos across all three devices on March 17, 2021.

Lorimer was interviewed twice, then received a postal requisition to attend court on August 1, 2022, before he entered his guilty pleas.

Lorimer had 67 images at Category A, and 19 of those were videos; 34 in Category B, and eight were videos, and 51 images in Category C - but no videos in that bracket.

Lorimer, previously of Lingford Street, Hucknall, admitted three offences of making indecent photos and one of possessing a prohibited image of a child.

Benn Robinson, mitigating, said Lorimer had self-orchestrated his isolation from friends and peers, and self-medicated for pain in his knees and back.

Unemployed Lorimer, now living at the YMCA in Nottingham, was sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday (July 3) by Mrs Justice Tipples.

She heard he now has a CSCA (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.

She imposed 12 months in custody, but suspended this for 12 months, and ordered he attend an accredited sexual offending group work programme, for no longer than 43 days.

She added 55 rehabilitation activity days and 60 hours of unpaid work.

Lorimer will be on a sexual harm prevention order and the sex offenders' register for ten years.
