VOYEUR WHO FILMED PRIVATE ACT WITHOUT CONSENT SENTENCED
A MAN has avoided immediate jail time after he admitted to filming someone committing a private act without their consent.Kieran Hawkins, 25, of Cutty Sark Drive, Stourport-on-Severn, appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Monday (March 9) charged with two counts of voyeurism.
Hawkins recorded another person performing a private act, without their knowledge, with the intention of looking at the image for sexual gratification on July 25, 2025, in Worcester.
Additionally, between May 9 and July 26, 2025, in Worcestershire, Hawkins recorded another person performing a private act, without their knowledge, with the intention of looking at the image for sexual gratification.
Hawkins had previously admitted to both counts at Worcester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, February 11.
The 25-year-old was sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for two years.
The court noted that the custodial sentence was justified because Hawkins had previously been convicted for a similar offence, but it had been suspended because of the potential for rehabilitation.
He was also banned from entering any motorway services for two years, required to register with Kidderminster Police Station for the next seven years, and ordered to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
