EASTBOURNE MAN SENTENCED TO 27 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX AND CRUELTY OFFENSES
A man named Kevin Long, aged 65 and residing in Binsted Close, Eastbourne, has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for serious child sex and cruelty offenses.
He was found guilty after an eight-day trial of 22 counts, including rape, sexual assault, and child neglect.
The court revealed that between 15 and 20 years ago, Long exploited his access to five young children—three girls and two boys—aged between six and fifteen at various addresses in Eastbourne.
He subjected the girls to multiple sexual offences and treated the boys with cruelty.

Detective Sergeant David Gibbs from the East Sussex Safeguarding Investigations Unit emphasized that Long was a systematic offender who preyed on vulnerable children for his own gratification.
