CHESTER MAN SPARED JAIL AFTER ASSAULTING PARTNER IN WREXHAM STREET
A man named Kevin Jones, residing on City Road in Chester, has been involved in an assault incident in Wrexham.
According to reports, he appeared before Wrexham Magistrates Court on Wednesday after being caught on Tuesday (April 23) assaulting a woman named Sharona Wright in Chester Street.
The court proceedings revealed that Jones headbutted and slapped his partner, Ms.
Wright, during the incident.
He also threw a bottle at her, although it did not hit her.
The police were called to the scene after a member of the public witnessed the assault.
Despite the assault, the victim did not support the prosecution.
Emma Simoes, representing Jones, stated that her client acknowledged the incident and had a history of issues related to alcohol, which she said was the main catalyst for his previous offending behavior.
Jones received an eight-week custodial sentence, but it was suspended for 12 months.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154 and costs of £85.
