A Wrexham man who violently assaulted and strangled his partner has been jailed.
Richard Thomas, aged 41 and residing at Ffordd Powell in Caego, appeared in Mold Crown Court on Thursday, 16 April for his sentencing hearing.
He faced multiple charges but pleaded guilty to three, including assault resulting in actual bodily harm, inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent, and deliberate strangulation.
These incidents occurred in Wrexham during October of the previous year.

She sustained numerous facial injuries, bruising across her body from punching and kicking, and a burn mark on her face believed to be caused by a hot kettle.
In addition, she had bruising around her neck indicative of strangulation.
Following the charges, Thomas was remanded into custody until his sentencing.
