Kevin Draper, described as a “THUG,” has been sentenced to ten months in prison after assaulting his partner during a heated argument.
The incident occurred when Draper, intoxicated, accused Lisa Peat of cheating, and in a violent outburst, he grabbed her by the head, threw her to the ground, and held her down with his knees.
Prosecutor Michael Davies stated that Draper also grabbed her neck, causing injuries such as abrasions and bruises.
Draper, 39, residing on Westmorland Road in Tyldesley, pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm in Liverpool Crown Court on July 6.
The assault happened shortly after he was released from a nine-month sentence and was still on bail for another offence.
Judge David Aubrey, QC, criticized Draper, labeling him a violent individual with a natural inclination toward aggression.
He warned Draper that if he reoffends, he could face a lengthy custodial sentence.
The defense attorney, Fergal Allen, suggested that the attack was spontaneous and driven by suspicion that Peat was unfaithful.
