FORMER RAF AIRMAN JAILED FOR RAPES AND CAMPAIGN OF ABUSE
A former Royal Air Force serviceman has received an 11-year prison sentence following convictions for multiple rapes and acts of abuse against two women.Kenny Dalgleish, who served at RAF Lossiemouth in Moray, engaged in a prolonged pattern of intimidation and violence, which involved controlling one victim’s access to finances, food, and hygiene products.
The 38-year-old was found guilty on 11 counts in the High Court of Glasgow, with offences spanning from 2006 to 2023.
Starting in Dundee and lasting nearly four years, he inflicted verbal and physical abuse on one woman, including incidents where he restricted her breathing and made threats to kill her.
Between April 2007 and February 2010, Dalgleish raped her on multiple occasions.
In addition, he was convicted of six charges involving a second woman, committed between 2015 and 2023.
These included raping and injuring her at a residence in Glasgow.
His assaults on this woman involved acts such as raping her while she was asleep or pretending to be asleep, and while she was pregnant.
He was also found guilty of domestic abuse involving the same woman at hospitals in Aberdeen and Elgin.
The RAF confirmed that Dalgleish has since been discharged from military service.
He is now registered as a sex offender and remains under indefinite non-harassment orders.
