29 YEARS JAIL FOR STRATFORD RAPIST KEITH STANLEY WHO PREYED ON TEENAGE GIRLS
A man from Stratford who repeatedly sexually assaulted two young girls has been sentenced to 29 years behind bars.Keith Stanley, aged 61, was detained by Warwickshire Police in March after a teenage girl courageously reported that she had been sexually abused by him over a period of five years.
Upon arrest, he faced eight counts of rape involving a minor girl and was held in custody.
Shortly after, another survivor came forward, disclosing that she had also been subjected to abuse as a teenager more than two decades ago.
This led to Stanley being charged with an additional 14 offences involving the second victim, who was under 16 at the time.
On 14th November, during a proceedings at Warwick Crown Court, Stanley received a prison sentence of 29 years, with an extra six years on license.
Detective Constable Ellena Psomadakis commented: “I would like to highlight the extraordinary bravery of the two victims who came forward and helped us to build up a strong case.
“I would also like to recognise the work of officers and of detectives from the child abuse team, who worked hard to make sure Stanley faced justice.
“Advocates from the charity Safeline also played a huge role in this – providing specialist support to both victims.
“Stanley is a dangerous predator, and we welcome the fact that he may now be in prison for the rest of his life.”
