KEITH EVANS CAUGHT IN WREXHAM: SHOCKING SEX OFFENDER SENT PICTURES TO UNDERCOVER OFFICER
In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Wrexham, Keith Evans, a man with a troubling history, was involved in a serious criminal act that led to his conviction and subsequent imprisonment.Back in February 2016, Evans engaged in a highly inappropriate and illegal exchange with an undercover officer who was posing as a 12-year-old girl.
The officer's role was to monitor and identify individuals attempting to exploit minors online, and Evans unwittingly became part of this sting operation.
During the course of the investigation, Evans sent three explicit images of his genitalia via email to the undercover officer.
These images were accompanied by inappropriate comments concerning the girl’s appearance and sexual intentions, revealing a disturbing level of predatory behavior.
Evans did not contest the charges; he pleaded guilty to the offences, acknowledging the gravity of his actions.
The court, taking into account the seriousness of the crime, sentenced him to two years in prison.
Additionally, Evans was subjected to a sexual harm prevention order, which restricts his activities and contact with minors, and he was ordered to register on the sex offender register for a period of ten years.
