ARBROATH SEX ATTACKER PLACED ON SEXUAL OFFENDERS REGISTER AFTER CONVICTION
Construction worker Karol Butkewicz was placed on the sex offenders register after being convicted at Forfar Sheriff Court.
He was found guilty of five charges following a multi-day trial.
The court heard that he invited two teenagers into his hotel room, where they were given vodka and drugs, and then sexually assaulted them.
The victims, aged 16 and 17 at the time, cannot be identified for legal reasons.
One teen had a panic attack after the incident, and the other described his behavior as with “eyes like saucers.” He was convicted of sexually assaulting one teen on one occasion and the other on two occasions, as well as possessing MDMA and being involved in the supply of amphetamine.
He was placed on the sex offenders register, with sentencing deferred until December for background reports.
The sheriff emphasized the seriousness of the crimes and suggested the possibility of a custodial sentence.
