KARL CROSTON FROM WIGAN SENTENCED TO 14 YEARS FOR ABUSING YOUNG GIRLS
A 72-year-old man from Wigan, identified as Karl Croston, has been handed down a prison sentence of 14 years after being convicted of raping and sexually abusing two young girls.The crimes, which spanned over a decade, included one of the victims starting to be abused when she was merely five years old.
Despite Croston's insistence on his innocence and his denial of the allegations, the court was presented with compelling evidence that detailed a pattern of long-standing abuse.
During the trial, the court heard moving impact statements from the victims and their families, describing the profound psychological trauma inflicted by Croston’s actions.
