KAMRAN AMPERIPOUR SHOCKS KENSINGTON WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT ON 13-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN WILLESDEN GREEN
In a disturbing incident that has sent shockwaves through the local community, a 46-year-old man identified as Kamran Amperipour from Kensington has admitted to sexually assaulting a young girl aged just 13 while she was traveling on a bus in Willesden Green. The assault took place in March of the previous year, and the case came to light after authorities successfully traced the offender through CCTV footage captured on the bus.Following a thorough investigation, Amperipour was charged and brought before Snaresbrook Crown Court. During the court proceedings, he pleaded guilty to the charge of sexual assault. As a result, he was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison, but the sentence was suspended for a period of 18 months, meaning he will not serve time unless he commits another offense within that timeframe.
In addition to the suspended jail term, the court imposed a supervision order that will be in effect for 12 months, requiring him to adhere to certain conditions and regularly report to authorities. Furthermore, Amperipour was placed on the sex offender register for a period of seven years, a measure intended to monitor his activities and prevent further offenses.
Chief Superintendent Matt Bell, representing the Metropolitan Police’s roads and transport policing command, emphasized the importance of community cooperation in tackling such crimes. He stated, “We take all reports of sexual offences on buses seriously and are committed to bringing offenders to justice. If someone has made you feel uncomfortable on your bus journey, however minor it may seem to you, reporting it to police can help us target the perpetrator and prevent it from happening to another passenger.”
The case highlights ongoing concerns about safety on public transportation and underscores the police’s dedication to protecting vulnerable individuals from sexual misconduct in public spaces.
