NOOR BIGZAD SENTENCED FOR RAPE AND ASSAULT IN KENSINGTON AND LIVERPOOL CITY CENTRE
In a serious case that has shocked the local community, Noor Bigzad, aged 35 and residing on Manton Road in Kensington, was formally sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday, 23 May.The court heard how Bigzad pleaded guilty to multiple heinous charges, including rape, assault by penetration, non-fatal strangulation, and assault, following a disturbing incident that took place in Liverpool city centre.
According to court records, the assault occurred on Friday, 25 October 2024, when Bigzad targeted a vulnerable woman in the heart of Liverpool.
After the attack, he took her to an address located in Kensington, where the assault continued over an extended period.
The woman endured a prolonged and traumatic sexual assault, which left her with multiple injuries.
The severity of her injuries and the trauma she experienced highlight the brutality of the attack.
Fortunately, the woman managed to escape from the address after Bigzad fell asleep, providing her with an opportunity to seek help.
She promptly reported the incident to the police, who responded swiftly.
Bigzad was arrested on the same day and charged with the serious offences he committed.
Following his conviction, Bigzad was not only sentenced to a prison term but also ordered to be registered on the Sex Offender’s Register for life, reflecting the gravity of his crimes and the ongoing risk he poses to the community.
The victim, in her Victim Personal Statement, expressed the profound impact the assault has had on her life.
She stated, “Before Noor Bigzad, I was a shy person but enjoyed socialising with close friends and my family.
Now, I just don’t want to leave my house.
I have been left with a feeling of constant anxiety, scared of strange noises in the house.
I avoid busy places.
Most importantly, I feel I’ve lost a huge part of myself.
My confidence has been hugely impacted by this whole ordeal, and it has affected my relationships even with the people closest to me.” Her words underscore the lasting emotional and psychological scars inflicted by the attack, emphasizing the devastating consequences of Bigzad’s actions.
