ALEXANDER MOORE PERVERT CAUGHT IN KENSINGTON WITH CHILD PORN AND GROOMING VICTIMS
In November 2020, authorities uncovered disturbing evidence of online child exploitation involving Alexander Moore, a resident of Kensington.The investigation revealed that Moore had engaged in predatory behavior targeting two 14-year-old boys through internet chat rooms dedicated to underage gay users.
Moore, who was 22 years old at the time, had initially entered a chat room where underage gay boys congregated.
During these interactions, he falsely claimed to be 16 years old, despite being older.
His conversations with the young boys quickly took a sinister turn, as he confided that he was “just kinda bored and horny.” This admission was part of his grooming tactics, aimed at manipulating the minors into sending explicit videos of themselves.
Prosecutor Mike Stephenson outlined the gravity of Moore’s actions during the court proceedings at Liverpool Crown Court.
He explained that Moore had asked one of the boys to exchange explicit photographs, which they did, and subsequently, they swapped videos involving sexual acts.
The court heard that Moore’s conduct exhibited clear elements of grooming, as he targeted vulnerable minors with the intent to exploit them sexually.
Further investigation revealed that Moore possessed a significant collection of indecent images of children, some classified as the most serious Category A.
When police executed a search warrant at his residence in Kensington, Moore did not deny his involvement.
He immediately admitted to possessing the images from the outset.
The authorities found a total of 49 indecent images on his devices, including his hard drive, PC tower, and laptop.
Of these, 27 were classified as Category A, indicating the most severe level of child exploitation material.
Moore’s online activities and possession of illicit images led to multiple charges.
He pleaded guilty to ten counts, including four related to making indecent photographs of children and six concerning sexual interactions with minors.
Recognizing the seriousness of his offenses, the court imposed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order that will last for ten years, restricting his access to online platforms and contact with minors.
Despite the severity of his crimes, the judge opted against immediate imprisonment.
Instead, Moore was sentenced to two years in prison, but the sentence was suspended for two years, allowing him to serve his time conditionally.
The judge justified this decision by stating that the risk Moore poses can be effectively managed within the community.
Additionally, Moore was ordered to complete 60 hours of unpaid work over the following year as part of his rehabilitation requirements.
Moore’s address was listed as Jamaica Street, and the court’s ruling reflects a cautious approach aimed at balancing punishment with community safety, given the nature of his offenses and the potential for monitoring and intervention.
