KENSINGTON PREDATOR WHO PLANNED LIVESTREAM OF CHILD ABUSE JAILED FOR 12 YEARS
Lester Sharpe, 46, was sentenced to 12 years in prison at Southwark Crown Court for engaging in online child abuse activities. He was a predator caught by police preparing to watch a livestream of child abuse involving an eight-year-old girl.
On May 7, Sharpe requested that the abuse should be streamed at a specific time and made detailed requests about what the child should wear during the assault.
When officers raided his workplace in Kensington, he was found as he was about to access the stream through his phone.
Sharpe pleaded guilty in June to arranging child sex offences and did not report any of the individuals he coordinated with.
He was handed a lifetime sexual harm prevention order and was identified as a dangerous offender, meaning he cannot be eligible for parole until he has served at least two-thirds of his sentence.
The investigation was led by Scotland Yard’s Specialist Crime Unit and Detective Sergeant Rob Blant emphasized that a harmful individual has been removed from the streets, with plans for monitoring even after release.
The police urge victims to come forward for support.
