MAN JAILED FOR RAPING TEENAGED GIRL
A man convicted of raping a teenage girl in St Austell has received a prison sentence of four years and two months.Jordan Roberts, age 25, from Beacon Hill in Bodmin, was convicted of both the rape and sexual activity involving a 14-year-old girl at Truro Crown Court.
He was sentenced on Friday, 19 June, to serve four years and two months behind bars.
In addition to his incarceration, Roberts was issued a 15-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and mandated to remain on the National Sex Offender Register for life.
A restraining order prohibiting contact with the victim for 10 years was also put in place.
The trial at Truro Crown Court concluded on Thursday, 14 May, with Roberts found guilty of charges relating to rape and sexual misconduct with the victim, a minor.
