INVERNESS MAN JORDAN FRASER CAUGHT WITH INDECENT IMAGES AT HIS PARENTS' HOUSE IN LAGGAN ROAD

On July 14, 2020, law enforcement officers carried out a detailed investigation into allegations against Jordan Fraser, a resident of Inverness, concerning the possession of indecent images of young girls. The police raid took place at Fraser's parents' residence on Laggan Road, where officers seized three mobile phones belonging to him for further examination.

During the forensic analysis of these devices, authorities uncovered a total of 29 images stored on one of the phones. Of these, 19 were identified as indecent images depicting females aged between seven and 14 years old. The severity of these images was categorized into different levels, with nine classified as the most serious. Specifically, six images fell into category B, and four into category C, indicating varying degrees of explicitness and harm.

Prosecutors clarified that the images depicted young females within the age range of seven to 14 years. It was noted that the application used to download or view these images had been deleted from the device, which complicated the investigation but did not prevent the authorities from establishing the nature of the content.

Jordan Fraser admitted to possessing these illicit images, acknowledging that he had stored them from December 1, 2019, up until the day of the police raid in July 2020. The case was brought before Inverness Sheriff Court, where Sheriff Ian Cruickshank presided over the proceedings. The court decided to defer sentencing until June 19, allowing time for a comprehensive background report and an assessment regarding the potential restriction of Fraser's liberty.

In addition to the court proceedings, Fraser was immediately placed on the Sex Offenders' Register, a measure aimed at monitoring individuals convicted of sexual offenses. His bail was also continued, ensuring he remained at liberty pending the final sentencing decision.
